Knitting & Crochet weekend in Wadenhoe House - 18th - 20th August 2017
Debbie Abrahams and Jane Crowfoot invite you to join them for an exclusive country retreat in Northamptonshire, England from Friday 18th through to Sunday 20th August 2017. Set in eight acres of landscaped gardens, you will spend the weekend at a magnificent Jacobean manor house, knitting and crocheting in the peace and tranquility of an elegant countryside dwelling. The house and grounds have been booked exclusively for the group for the whole weekend. With all meals included, cooked for you by the resident award-winning Master Chef, this promises to be a fabulous weekend for all. There will be a small project to knit or crochet during the weekend, designed by Debbie and Jane.
The weekend will start with drinks, a meal and informal introductions and over the course of the weekend you will be offered the chance to relax with your knitting and crochet in the beautiful gardens and grand, spacious rooms of Wadenhoe House.
Debbie and Jane make great tutors with a long history of teaching and they really enjoy working alongside eachother to create fun and informative workshops. They will each design a small project for you to work through over the course of the weekend and will be on hand to guide you through an array of techniques, typically including beading and colour work. If you would rather bring along and work through your own project surrounded by like minded people please feel free to do so.
Wadenhoe House – Nr. Oundle, Peterborough PE8 5SS – Tel: 01832 720410
Nestled in the rolling Northamptonshire countryside, Wadenhoe House is a magnificent Jacobean manor, steeped in English tradition and offering guests the very highest levels of service. Each of the bedrooms are distinctly individual in size, shape and decoration while being equipped with the most up to date facilities. Some of the bedrooms are in two lodges enjoying panoramic views of the rolling grounds, just a short stroll from the House.
Wadenhoe House is not just a beautiful building, it is a family home and one that has been welcoming visitors since 1617. The Wadenhoe team of dedicated professionals make it their job to ensure that your stay is a truly special occasion.
The House is not far from the ancient market town of Oundle, where you will find plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and interesting buildings to visit. On Crown Street, in the centre of the Market Place, you will find Oundle In Stitches, a knitting and haberdashery shop housed within a 17th Century building.
Here you will find an extensive range of knitting patterns and yarns, crochet cottons, embroidery kits, quilter’s fat quarters, threads, buttons, ribbons and haberdashery
A project yarn pack will be available for you to work through during the weekend. In the past, most workshop participants do choose to work on the project, but it is not compulsory. We are more than happy if you would prefer to bring your own WIP and work on that instead in a friendly environment surrounded by like minded people
